Our Team

  • Kristin - Owner/Manager

Kristin is the “chaos coordinator” …. and her goal each day is to make it look easy. Kristin taught for almost 20 years in Bedford County Public Schools and left her teaching career to oversee the daily operations of the farm. Her daily job is balancing being a mom to 4 children and managing the barn (cleaning, organizing, mowing, meeting with couples - she does it all). Kristin is also a licensed realtor in the state of Virginia. She is detail oriented, organized, and goes above and beyond to make sure her couples have a top-notch experience.

  • Chad - Owner/Farm Manager

Chad is hands-down the maker of all dreams coming true. He works full-time at Commonwealth Building Materials and works on the farm every evening and on the weekends. He is Kristin‘s biggest supporter and fan. He entertains all of her crazy ideas, and always finds a way to make things happen. There is nothing he can’t do.

  • Britin

Our oldest. He is a senior at Jefferson Forest High School in Bedford County. He is passionate about football and helped lead his team to an exceptional season. Britin signed with the Virginia Military Institute and will be playing division I football starting in the fall of 2024. He is a huge help on the farm and loves hunting, and fishing.

  • Makenzie

Our only and favorite daughter. Makenzie is a sophomore at Jefferson Forest High School. She is a varsity sideline cheerleader for football and does competitive cheer with Champion Athletics. She is a two-time national champion cheerleader. She loves horses and is passionate about animals. She plans to be a nurse one day.

  • Billy

The middle boy. Billy is named after both of his grandfathers. He is in third grade and loves a challenge. Billy has an engineering mind. He loves baseball and riding his dirt bike. Billy loves working on the farm, and helping in any way he can. He loves people and has a huge heart for others.

  • Tucker

The baby. Tucker is our youngest, and also the reason I visit the hair salon every month to cover up my gray hair. Just kidding. He is in first grade. Tucker is a sweet, loving boy. He is our most competitive child. He can tell you anything about football, football teams, football players, and football statistics. I firmly believe he will be a football analyst one day. He loves playing baseball, flag football, and riding his go-kart and four wheelers.

  • Jax

The boxer of all boxers! AKA - “Mom’s favorite”. Jax is the newest member of the team. He spends most of his days helping mom at he farm and barn and being her constant shadow.

  • Miss Daisy

Daisy is the sassy highland girl you’ll ever meet. She likes snacks and doesn’t mind flowers or an occasional photo shoot.

  • Buttercup

Buttercup is the moodiest highland girl you’ll ever meet. She isn’t easily amused and tends to do things on her terms. She has beautiful blonde highlights. She don’t like flowers…or wearing them.
